National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR) a premier research centre under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is looking for appointing highly motivated, self driven team players to be appointed as Accounts Officer, Administrative Assistant/ Clerk. Currently, NCBS receives around Rs. 145 Crore of funding which is likely to double in the next two years. It is essential that the incumbent(s) are well - organised individual with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills who thrives on diversity in an evolving professional environment.

I. Accounts Officer “D” - 1 (One) Post – Reserved for Other Backward Caste (OBC)

Qualification:

Essential:

1. Graduate in Commerce with 60% of marks from a recognized University with Advanced Accountancy, Financial Management, Auditing, Law and Taxation as major subjects .

2. Diploma in Finance and Accounts or in a related areas.

Desirable :

1. Post Graduate Degree in Commerce or CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance).

Experience:

Essential :

1. 5 years experience in Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/5400 or equivalent grade.

2. Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.

Scale of Pay: PB 3 – Rs. 15600 – 39100/- Grade Pay: Rs. 6600/- (TME: Rs. 61850/-)

Upper Age limit: - Below 48 years including relaxation. (as on 1.1.2014)


II. Accounts Officer “C” - 1 (One) Post - Reserved for Other Backward Caste (OBC)

Qualification:

Essential:

1. Graduate in Commerce with 60% marks from a recognized University with Advanced Accountancy, Auditing and Taxation as major subjects .

2. Diploma in Finance and Accounts or in a related area.

Desirable:

1. Post Graduate Degree in Commerce or CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance)

Experience:

Essential :

1. 5 years experience in Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/4600/ 4800 or equivalent grade.

2. Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications..

Scale of Pay: PB 3 – Rs. 15600 – 39100/- Grade Pay: Rs. 5400/- (TME: 52280/-)

Upper Age limit: Below 43 years including relaxation.(as on 1.1.2014)

Desirable Experience for the above two Positions:

1. Ability to work independently in a computerized accounting environment using standard packages eg. Tally, ERP for data processing, retrieval and MIS.

2. Independent managerial or supervisory experience of handling finance and accounts with particular reference to fund based accounting for projects, payroll administration and budget preferably of large or medium sized organization of repute.

3. Experience of finalization of accounts and balance sheet with broad awareness of General Financial Rules applicable to Grant-in-Aid Institutions.

4. Ability to review periodically financial statements, budget and expenditure and initiate appropriate action.

5. Experience of managing all aspects of Finance & Accounts in respect of Externally Funded Projects, with particular reference to preparation of MIS Reports, Statement of Expenditure & Utilization Certificates.


III. Administrative Assistant “B” (Accounts) - 1 (One) Post – Reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC)

Qualification & Experience:

Essential :

1. Graduate with 55% marks

2. 5 years experience in Accounts Department in a large and reputed organization.

3. Knowledge of Typing & use of personal computers and its applications.

Desirable:

1. Degree/ Post Graduation in Commerce with Accountancy, Auditing & Taxation as subjects or Diploma in Financial Management.

2. Experience of handling finance and accounts with particular reference to fund based accounting for Projects, payroll administration and budget preferably of large or medium sized organization of repute.

3. Experience of finalization of accounts and balance sheet with broad awareness of General Financial Rules applicable to Grant-in-Aid Institutions.

4. Good communication and drafting skills in English.

Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-2 - Rs. 9300 - 34800 Grade Pay: Rs. 4200/- (TME: 32740/-)

Upper Age limit: - 35 years including relaxation. (as on 1.1.2014)


IV. Clerk “A” (Accounts) - 1 (One) Post - Reserved for Other Backward Caste (OBC)

Qualification & Experience:
Essential :

1. Graduate with 50% marks

2. Knowledge of typing and use of personal computers and its applications.

3. One (1) year experience as Clerk in accounts section of a large and reputed organization

Desirable:

1. Good communication and drafting skills in English.

2. Knowledge and experience of preparation and finalization of accounts and drawing of balance sheet.

Pay Band & Grade Pay:: PB-1 -Rs. 5200 – 20,200/- Grade Pay: Rs. 2000/- (TME: Rs.19752/-)

Upper Age limit: - 31 years including relaxation. (as on 1.1.2014)

These posts are tenable at Bangalore but are liable to be transferred to the Institute’s headquarters at Mumbai or any other field Stations. The selected candidate will be initially appointed for a period of five (5) years with probation of one year from the date of joining. The selected candidate shall be required to join immediately.
