Talks Abstract:
In today's world, communicating ecological sciences is as important as practicing it, and photography is an excellent medium for that. A well conceptualised and created photograph has the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear manner, thus allowing its use as a stand-alone or as a complement to other forms of communication. For the last few years, I have been exploring the high mountains of central Asia and remote islands of India to tell stories about ecological sciences and conservation. In this talk, I will share some of my recent work on Snow leopards and Narcondam hornbills published in National Geographic Magazine and The New York Times.
