APPOINTMENT OF  PROJECT ASSISTANTS (MEETINGS & WORKSHOP OFFICE &  TRAVEL DESK) ON CONTRACT BASIS.

 

National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research Centre is looking for appointment of Project Assistants for its Meetings & Workshop Office & Travel Desk. The selected candidates shall be offered a contract on consolidated salary based on qualification and experience. The contract will be initially for a period of One (1) year, subject to review of performance can be extended up to maximum of  Three (3) years.

Qualification  & Experience: 

I.Project Assistant ( Meetings & Workshop Office) 

Job Profile:  The incumbent is required to coordinate the work pertaining to the holding of meetings, workshops, symposia  etc at NCBS.  They should be able to correspond independently and follow up with the outside agencies for conducting the programmes, co-ordinate with designers & printers for posters, arrange for travel and accommodation of the participants of the meeting & workshops etc. The incumbent will be completely involved in arranging public lectures, co-ordinating and correspondence with the visitors on their travel plan, preparation of  Itinerary of the meetings etc.

Essential Qualification & Experience: Graduates from a recognized University with minimum  50% of marks and having minimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience  in organizing international meetings & workshops. The Candidate should be familiar in all logistical aspect of organizing meetings & workshops e.g. budgeting, seeking statutory approvals, soliciting for funds, submission of accounts etc.

Skills Required:  

1. Familiarity with use of PC and their applications for office matters and correspondence.
2. Good Communication skills both written and oral.
3.  Ability to work independently.
4.  Multitasking
5.  Ability to adhere to time lines.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

1. I Class Diploma in Secretarial Practice with shorthand speed of 120 w.p.m.
2. Experience in handling matter relating to National & International Meetings, workshops & conferences.

II. Project Assistant ( Travel Desk): 

Job Profile:  The incumbent is required to work independently to provide complete travel solutions to the Faculty & staff of NCBS.  He/She should be familiar with International & domestic air ticketing, Rail/ Bus reservations,  processing for passport and visa for the faculty members, arrange for overseas medical insurance, arrange for  Airport  transfer etc.  They should be able to correspond with various Airliners to find the best options for International  travel and book online tickets.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

Graduates from a recognized University with minimum 50% of mark with minimum two (2) to three (3) years experience of working as a Travel Desk Assistant in a reputed Institution/ organization. 
 

Skills Required:   
  
1.Should be able to provide Travel solutions independently.     
2.Familiarity with use of PC and their applications for office matters and correspondence.
3.Good Communication skills both written and oral. 
4. Multitasking 
5. Ability to adhere to time lines. 

Desirable Qualification & Experience: I Class Diploma in Travel & Tourism from a reputed Institute    

Experience in handling matter relating to Air/Rail ticketing, processing of passport & Visa applications, International travel, arranging for travel insurance etc. 

Age: Preferably below 28 years. 

Consolidated Salary : Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- p.m.

The selected candidates will be required to join immediately. In deserving cases salary will not be constraint for candidates with higher qualification and relevant experience. The Institute reserves the right to relax the qualification and experience at its discretion.

Step 4: Once you fill in the application and  CV is upload you can SAVE or PREVIEW the application. Please Note: Any corrections should be made before you SAVE the application. 

Step 5: After you SAVE, you can submit the application by clicking  “SUBMIT” . 

Step 6: Take a Print out of the application form  by clicking “PRINT” in “MY APPLICATION” and send  the same duly Signed  to the  Administrative Officer (Establishment), NCBS-TIFR, GKVK PO, Bellary Road, Bangalore- 560065,  along with copies of certificates regarding date of birth, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate etc.  The hard copy of the application should reach NCBS, Bangalore  by 10th December, 2014. 
The Institute reserves the right to relax the qualification and experience in deserving cases, reject or accept any application, call limited number of candidates for test/interview, offer lower post or not fill up the post at its discretion.
