APPOINTMENT OF MEDICAL DOCTORS ON CONTRACT
National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) – Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research Centre, wishes to appoint Three (3) doctors to work in its medical centre. The NCBS medical centre is located on our campus and equipped to provide stat-of-the art medical care in a primary health care space. In addition to doctors, the centre is staffed by paramedical personnel including a nurse and physiotherapist. An on-site ambulance is available. The post will involve working with other staff to deliver medical care on our campus in this setting.
DOCTOR – 3 Posts
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
-
M.B.B.S. with a First Class from a recognized University.

Should be registered with the Medical Council of India
-
Minimum of Five (5) years experience in clinical practice.
Desirable:
-
M.D in Internal Medicine
-
Two (2) years Experience as Medical Officer in a large organization.

Ability to use personal computers
Age: Below 40 Years.
Duties:
The doctors employed at the medical centre will be expected to assist the campus in the following ways:

General consultations during institute working hours.
-
On-call duties after office hours in the event of emergencies.
-
Medical examination of specific groups of contract staff employed on our campus.

Conduct medical examination of new staff/students and report to the Human Resource Department at the time of Joining.

Review the results of annual medical examination for permanent staff and report to the human resource department.

Participate in administering Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS) and other medical insurance on behalf of campus institutions.

Advise HR dept. in matters relating to medical justification for in-patient treatment/leave/reimbursement as well as issuing medical certificates, fitness certificates where required.

Help in liaison with hospitals as require when staff members become inpatients at referral hospitals/medical emergencies.

Work collaboratively with paramedical staff to ensure smooth running of the medical center.
