National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR) a premier research centre under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, invites application for filling up of the following post on Contract Basis.

Essential Qualification& Experience:

Ph.D in Biology or Ecological Sciences

Twelve (12) or more years experience in education and research including essential activites such as mentoring students, planning and teaching full courses, design and execution of short term research projects in natural ecosystems, and significant publication record. The incumbent must therefore be an accomplished researcher with deep knowledge and requisite experience working in Indian and global ecosystems, as well as an excellent educator and mentor.
Age limit: Below 50 years (as on 1.7.2019)
Pay : Consolidated pay equivalent to Pay Level 13 (Stage 1)

The incumbent would be required to teach core and advanced courses in the Wildlife & Conservation Program, mentor and advise the students in identification and development of thesis research projects; planning, development, updating and reviewing of the course curriculam; Planning design and implementation of field courses etc.
The appointment will be on Contract for a period of one (1) year form the date of joining which may be extended based on the requirements and performance. The selected candidates shall be required to join immediately. The institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
