Study of Chemical Ecology-Northeast India Collaboration
Pioneers from NCBS, IISc, Bangalore, and UAS have joined hands with the scientists at North eastern region to study the chemical ecology of nature.
The north eastern region provides an excellent landscape of biodiversity to investigate the chemical interactions in nature. Bio-diverse regions provide interactions between species. North eastern states have a wealth of unstudied systems to offer to chemical ecology research.
The SCENIC programme will build new scientific capacity in India and provide tremendous, unique training and career development opportunities for aspiring and established scientists particularly from the Northeast. It will provide opportunity for researchers from the NER to be trained in state-of-the-art analytical and molecular biology techniques in Bangalore, research students to pursue a part of their research and courses in both NER and Bangalore labs benefiting from a multiregional and multidisciplinary environment.
