What does genetics have to do with conservation?
Technological advance in our times provide an amazing ability to read DNA and sequence genomes of species all around us. On the flip side, our environment is fast degrading and we are losing species and animals. Can genetic technological advances help us better understand and save species? In my talk I will discuss some of the current conservation challenges and how genetics information can help address them.
