I trained as a Production engineer, which taught me how to solve Partial Differential Equations, and indulge in Lagrangian dynamics. Before joining Flight Lab, I spent time working for India's largest automobile manufacturer, but nature seemed more intellectually challenging. I am currently investigating the dynamics of the insect thorax. The quest for the clutch which is responsible for engaging the wing to the thorax at the onset of flight is what brings me to NCBS. In the past I have also worked on Vibration control using Active Magnetic Bearings, Electrodischarge Machining and Retractable roof like structures. I equally enjoy cricket, cinema and reading stories of questionable quality.
