Research Interest
I am interested in investigating species distribution along environmental gradient which provides a framework for testing how changing conditions lead to local adaptation, phenotypic plasticity, and ultimately shape species distributional limits. In my research thus far, I examine how facilitative interactions between plants through their shared pollinators can shape the composition of plant communities across altitudinal gradient. I examine the position of the below and above altitudinal range limits of high altitude specialist plant (genus Primula L.) using reciprocal transplant experiment and uses transcriptome (RNA-Seq) profiling to study the differential gene expression of a high altitude mountain plant species to different stresses in its natural environment.
