Research Interest
I am currently working as a bioinformatician in the lab, mostly doing computational work. I have a bachelor in computer science and masters in bioinformatics. My main objective right now is to get a reference quality chromosomal level assembly of the Bengal Tiger (Almost there) using long reads and HiC (for scaffolding). Besides I am also involved in few other projects in the lab in small capacities, trying to help my lab mates in their data analysis. I am interested in the field of evolutionary and population genomics and it is quite likely I would purse my PhD in that. When I am not working or thinking about science I am usually off trekking or travelling. I love to read. For my daily dose of exercise, I try to cycle and swim everyday with swimming being my go to stress buster. I am also a big fan of craft beers.
